A random spider drops onto the computer screen and proceeds to scuttle around in a life-like fashion. All movement and behaviour is computed in real-time by Flash.
The animation has been created with the Flash Actionscript programming language which uses mathematical rules and formulas to create pseudo-random animations in real time. This means that every time the screensaver is started the spider will move about in different ways.
